Welcome to Hypocrite's Rant

This is for me to document what I believe, feel and say. It may be a little boring, but it'll get better. (or will it?)

Recently it has come to my attention and realization that I am a hypocrite. To me, being a hypocrite is the worst thing in the world. When one finally realizes that one is a hypocrite, it attacks one's self-integrity and destroys the walls of trust one has with oneself. (5 ones=5) If you can't trust and believe in what you say, how can you possibly expect others to. The events that have transpired as of late has finally topped the cake. Keep in mind, it may be small, but "it's the little things that count," right?

Just yesterday, my better half asked me if she could subscribe to People magazine. I said, "No.", "Get something informative like Newsweek." Personally, I don't feel People is a very credible magazine. It seems like one of those false-image-fueling-magazines, capturing Hollywood stars at their best and worst, perpetuating gossip about this and that, absolutely USELESS in providing any help or advise about living a healthy and productive life. Just tonight, my better half asked me, "Why do you get what you want and I don't? Why do you get to buy whatever you want and I can't get a subscription to People." I was taken back, coldly enlightened, humiliated through self-realization. I heard someone say or read somewhere that Humility is the best teacher.

I have a subscription to both Maxim magazine and Stuff magazine. Two false-image-fueling-magazines, capturing Supermodels best and worst, perpetuating male gossip about this and that, competely USELESS in providing any help or advise about living a healthy and productive life. Hypocrite. This was just the topper. After realizing my folly, I said "yes." The damage has already been done.

Over the last year, Ive been an advocate of sorts about anti-credit and anti-debt. Spouting my worldly wise expertise on saving money through investments, "kill your credit card", "get rid of the debt you have now through debt stacking", "blah blah blah"..., all while swiping the plastic for Christmas and Absinth(e). (I'll get into my problems with Christmas and love of Absinth later.) Hypocrite.

I rant about every little purchase SHE makes, and throw caution to the wind when it comes to MY purhcases. Greed? Straight up, selfishness?

Well, I've been distracted and can't focus now. More later...
